An audit tells you what it looks like today. Supervision monitors the decisions that have yet to be made – that is where most problems arise.
It depends on the project. Most often 3 months, and then as needed. We do not tie you into a long commitment – when it stops making sense, we end it.
Mostly they will be relieved too. Supervision means clear rules about what has to pass before a release goes out, and the end of arguing over whether a delay is a problem or normal operation. We come in transparently – the provider knows we are there and why. If someone refuses independent oversight, that on its own already says something.
The initial call takes at most 30 minutes, then roughly an hour a month reviewing the report. The rest runs between us and the developers.
Then that is the best possible outcome and we will tell you so straight up. You pay for certainty, not for a list of problems. So far, though, it has never happened that an assessment did not reveal at least two or three things worth attention.
The ideal scenario is that you continue with your current provider, just better and with certainty. If a risk appears that cannot be managed through oversight alone, we will say so and offer a takeover. The decision is always yours, and supervision runs the same no matter how you decide.
